Tonkin Consulting was engaged by Lanser Communities for a land division at Freeling Estate with site master planning through to detailed civil and electrical design and onsite construction delivered.
With a land division of over 350 allotments, the scope of works included master planning of the development, preliminary road design, preliminary sewer design, preliminary electrical design, general servicing, wastewater treatment plant, detailed stormwater investigation and wetland augmentation. Tonkin Consulting also provided detailed design, tender call, construction supervision and contract administration.
With a capital cost estimate at $21 million, the project was delivered in 18 stages over a ten year period to enable cost-effective construction. It featured a 2700EP wastewater treatment plant that improves wastewater treatment for the entire township of Freeling. The treated wastewater from the wastewater treatment plant is reused via a dedicated resuse pipeline network to irrigate the reserves within the development and the town oval.
