Exciting Move for Tonkin Consulting

Our move to new premises in June marks a major milestone in the history of Tonkin Consulting. With the steady growth of our business we find we have outgrown our current accommodation – which has presented an exciting opportunity to relocate and continue to expand.
Many of our clients and colleagues will remember when we moved to our current premises in 2000, with staff numbers of a little more than 60 people. At that time we had plenty of room, in fact enough to sub-let some floor space. Now with nearly double the number of staff, we need to secure more accommodation space that will allow for our continued future growth.
Our new premises are ideally located at 66 Rundle Street Kent Town – close to the main CBD, the East Parklands and the Norwood shopping precinct.
Tonkin Consulting will occupy the major portion of the 2-level commercial accommodation, comprising some 2580 square metres. The main entry point is on the corner of the Parade West and Rundle Street. Vehicle access is via Little Grenfell Street. The building has two levels of office space and three levels of carparking, including visitor parking for our clients and colleagues.
The building features a ‘Green Initiative’ with a 5-star environmental design and will have a 5-star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating for energy efficiency.
A highlight of the internal design is a full height atrium centrally located within the circulation areas through the spine of the building, incorporating a full-length skylight and glass feature wall to the internal stairwell at the end of the atrium. These features will ensure internal, daytime lighting requirements are kept to a minimum.
The main pedestrian entry court incorporates a small coffee shop, designed for use by both the tenants and general public. With many innovative features such as a common outside terrace on level 2, our staff are looking forward to the move to Kent Town. |
