Gerry Doyle, CEO of Tonkin Consulting announced today that as part of our national growth strategy we have signed an agreement to acquire Sydney based TLB Engineers (TLB), a leading engineering consultancy providing structural and maritime engineering services.
The acquisition broadens the expertise that can we provide to existing clients of both companies and offers an increased range of infrastructure, engineering, environmental and asset management services to the NSW market. Established in 1980, TLB provides a comprehensive range of technical services to public and private sector clients.

Gerry Doyle said “This is an exciting opportunity to grow our business within the largest market in Australia. TLB is a proven business with a reputation for technical excellence and service delivery, with leading professional staff committed to client service.

“We look forward to further developing our relationships with TLB’s clients, while continuing to be involved in projects that provide benefits to the community”, he said.
TLB Director, Mark Baker, remarked “we are excited by the opportunity to join with Tonkin Consulting to offer a far greater range of services to the market and provide these services across a wider geographical area. In addition, this also provides the opportunity for our people to learn and develop their skills by getting access to the national reach of Tonkin Consulting.”

The acquisition will provide an opportunity to deliver a greater service offering to the NSW infrastructure, property and development markets, in addition to strengthening Tonkin Consulting’s capability in structural and maritime engineering.

Gerry Doyle added, “This acquisition represents an important step in the growth of our business into other states. The value we provide our clients is service excellence, technical innovation, employing and retaining the best people.”
