Lee Point Road traffic improvements

Tonkin has been engaged by the City of Darwin to review the original Developer Contribution Plan for Lee Point Road and the surrounding northern suburbs development.

Darwin's northern suburbs are experiencing higher than average population growth with the construction of a new residential development in Lyons and Muirhead.

To accomodate this growth and its demand on the existing infrastructure and road transport network, the original Developer Contribution Plan needs to be updated to take into consideration the higher development density.

We have been engaged to provide a review of traffic volumes, modelling and assessment, the results of which will be used to define the upgraded road infrastructure requirements for the region.

Upon completion of the review, Tonkin will undertake concept development and the detailed design of capacity enhancing works along Lee Point Road and other critical locations in the immediate area.
