Tonkin received the coveted Medium Firm of the Year Award, which recognises consultants’ excellence in the field. Over the past eight years, we’ve been honoured with the Medium Firm of the Year award on five occasions - a testament to our dedicated and talented team members around Australia. Tonkin’s growth in recent years means we’re now very close to outgrowing the ‘medium’ category!
Our South Australian and Victorian teams received the award for Collaboration for Project Excellence – Working with Government, for their critical work to assist communities during the devastating 2022-23 River Murray floods. We are proud of the role our people played in working collaboratively with our clients and other stakeholders to help mitigate the impacts of the floods on Riverland communities.
Tonkin’s work on the new Parramatta Aquatic Centre was recognised with a High Commendation. Our Sydney team worked closely with City of Parramatta, Lipman and Grimshaw Architects helping to deliver a state-of-the-art facility that will serve the local community for many years to come. This compliments another Consult Australia award win for one of Tonkin’s Parramatta-based projects in recent years – the Parramatta Escarpment Boardwalk, which picked up the award for Innovation Excellence in 2021.
