From our state-of-the-art Adelaide headquarters, Tonkin provides comprehensive engineering, environmental and consulting services. Tonkin has a long and proud South Australian history, having been founded in Adelaide in 1955 years ago by Berwick (Skip) Tonkin. After humble beginnings as a home business in Woodville specialising in stormwater engineering, Tonkin has grown to become an accomplished full-service consultancy with a national footprint around Australia.

To accommodate our growth over the years, Tonkin's Adelaide office has moved locations on numerous occasions, upgrading to bigger and better office spaces each time. We've had an office in Queen Street in the CBD, Cooke Terrace in Wayville, Rundle Street in Kent Town and in 2019 we moved to our custom designed office in Frome Street in the CBD. Our bustling Adelaide office is our biggest office space; Tonkin has the entire second floor which accommodates 100+ staff.

 

There are numerous options nearby for on-street and off-street parking, and for those who like to cycle, we are conveniently located on the Frome Street Bikeway.
